The new draft Foreign Exchange Code submitted to the Council of Ministers

During a restricted ministerial meeting chaired by the Head of Government on March 7, 2024, the amended version of the Foreign Exchange Code was examined and approved.

This revised version will be submitted to the Council of Ministers for deliberation before being transmitted to parliament.

The new draft of the Foreign Exchange Code includes major axes such as the redefinition of the concept of residence, the recognition of the principles of liberalization for certain financial transactions between Tunisia and foreign countries, the authorization of transactions of encrypted assets, the development of the manual exchange system, as well as the revision of the system of sanctions and financial offenses.
